Course Description :
The Course deals with processes of digital mapping by means of Varian software such as: Auto Cad, Mir station J, surfer and Arc view. The running on PC'S. Therefore the course discuss the following subjects: Methods of converting hardcopy of maps into digital format by means of scanners and digitizer -Methods of storing, importing and exporting digital maps. -Layout of digital maps after symbolizing features. The course also dealing with the main sources of maps and the major cartographic methods in which features of the earth can be represented.
